'The Future is Born of Art' Commission

Position Attained
: 1ST RUNNER UP

In October 2022, I was nominated for the India Art Fair and BMW India-led ‘The Future is Born of Art’ Commission ( Second Edition) by a team of esteemed jury members including – Dr Deepanjana Klein (Director of Acquisitions and Development at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art), Shalini Passi (One of India’s leading patrons and voices in art, and the founder of MASH India), artist duo, Jiten Thukral and Sumir Tagra (contemporary artists, designers and creative thinkers ) and Jaya Asokan (Fair Director of India Art Fair) to design a wrap for the new BMW X7. The given theme was "Forwardism"

About the design created:

My vision for the new BMW X7 car wrap imagines a hopeful future – harnessing the power of flora and fauna and paying homage to the symbiotic relationship amongst humans, animals and nature. A future-forward world is one that is conscious of the distant past, ancient culture and traditional know-how. The design for the car attempts to define a state of constant motion and metamorphoses while showing a kaleidoscopic landscape that brings symbols from ancient cultures and an ultra-modern sci-fi future into a unified whole. Combining many realities and presenting a future of healing and collaboration, where we exist in harmony with the ecology we depend upon. #Forwardism, to me, is about understanding the values of the past, the present and its evolution in the future…

I was declared the First runner-up of the competition, after a round of Public Voting (on Instagram) in addition to the scores as given by the esteemed Jury Members.
